Grab whatever's unguarded at first — commons like the Chicken ($1/s) and Dog ($2/s) hatch in ~30 seconds. Learn the grab animation timing: you're slow while carrying, and guardians knock you over on contact.
Put the egg in your pen and wait out the hatch. Placed pets pay passive cash per second (see the value list). More pens, more pets, more money — reinvest early and often.
Speed is the metric that opens biomes and wins chases. Each new biome has a Speed floor; showing up under-geared is a walking donation. Treadmill time is the best early investment in the game.
Eggs respawn on a 5-minute cycle, and Secret/Eternal/Divine spawns are announced server-wide. Being in the right biome at reset is most of the battle — the live timers tell you exactly when.
Player steals skip the biome grind entirely, but you inherit a fight with someone who knows their own base. Only raid bases well below your Speed, and watch your own pen — it works both ways.
Fusion triples up: three identical pets become one stronger pet. It's free value — a fast way to turn a lucky triple-spawn into your new income anchor.
Rifts open on a 30-minute cycle. The Abyssal Overlord drops Boss Tokens for the Boss Shop — Rift-exclusive egg pools and Fractured mutations for placed eggs. This is the best reward-per-minute in the game.
Rebirth resets progress for permanent multipliers. When a full session stops moving your income, rebirth — the multipliers pay the reset back quickly. Don't rebirth mid-biome push.
